Now that Halloween is over we are counting down the days to the Percy Jackson and the Olympians season three premiere. On Monday, Disney+ released a two minute trailer ahead of the November 20 premiere.
After Percy’s (Walker Scobell) journey with the Sea of Monsters, the trailer unveils his new journey. Saving Annabeth (Leah Jeffries) from the forces of Kronos, Percy must confront Titan’s curse all while avoiding the fall of Olympus.
Much darker season three follows the third book in Rick Riordan’s series, The Titan’s Curse. The trailer gives viewers a first look at the children of Hades, Nico (Levi Chrisopulos) and Bianca di Angelo (Olive Abercrombie). When protecting the siblings, Annabeth is taken to an enemy base in California governed by the titan Atlas. She must then bear the weight of the sky in place of goddess Artemis or Luke, given to Atlas as a punishment by Zeus.

Grover (Aryan Simhadri) joins Percy on his quest as they meet unlikely foes along the way confronting a prophecy and its dire consequences. To save Annabeth, Percy will need to recruit Thalia (Tamara Smart) but it’s not easy.
In season two, Luke and his group of rebellious half-bloods poison Thalia’s pine tree which protects the magical border of Camp Half-Blood. Tricking the campers on a quest to find the golden fleece. Luke needs the fleece to revive Kronos from the dead, leading to the demise of Olympus.

Thalia becomes a tree after losing a battle with Furies, when really she lost an argument with Zeus. The king of Olympus struck the Furies down with a lightning bolt to tell his daughter about the Great Prophecy. The prophecy states that a child of the big three (Zeus, Poseidon, Hades) will either protect or destroy Olympus at 16. After Thalia tells her father she wants nothing to do with him, Zeus turns her into a tree as punishment.
Clarrise, daughter of Aires, uses the golden fleece to save the tree unknowingly releasing Thalia from imprisonment. Different from the book, Chiron admits he knew what happened to Thalia but Zeus swore him to secrecy. Season two concludes with Percy receiving a message from his father that the Titans are free and on the loose.
Each season brings new prophecies and darker threats. Talos is one of many monsters the group will face. Percy Jackson Season three premieres on November 20 airing on Disney+. Fans can watch seasons one and two on Disney+ and Netflix. I for one will be rewatching both seasons so I won’t be confused like I was last year.
