As a Boston guy, I know not everyone who lives here is exactly a teddy bear. In fairness to my angry people, the weather stinks roughly 350 days a year and the traffic is even worse. You deal with all of that and see how pleasant you are, kid. But one Boston icon is always lovable and cuddly, even if he is also as foul-mouthed as any of us. And now we know when he’s coming back. Peacock has delivered a merry holiday message along with a gift. TED season two will premiere next March, and the first look images are everything we’d hope from Ted and John’s senior year of high school.

Peacock has given us our first look at season two of its popular prequel sitcom, TED. A new poster shows the Bennet family decked out for the holidays with the kind of message we’d expect from that clan. The season’s first production stills are everything we’d hope for. From family game night and Ted sharing a hot tub, to a school play and outdoor toys inside, season two is promising a lot of wonderful silliness
As for season two, here’s what we can expect from our favorite vulgar conscious stuffed animal:
It’s 1994, and senior year of high school is underway for Ted the foul-mouthed teddy bear and his best friend, likable but awkward John Bennett. Together they live in a working-class Boston home with John’s parents (Matty and Susan) and cousin (Blaire). Matty is a blustering, blue-collar Bostonian who sees himself as the unequivocal boss of the house and frequently clashes with his liberal niece. Susan is kind, selfless, and almost pathologically sweet when it comes to caring for her family. Blaire is an outspoken college student who often finds herself at odds with her more traditional-minded relatives.

TED comes from writer-director, co-showrunner, and voice of Ted, Seth MacFarlane, as well as Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh who also serve as executive producers, writers, and co-showrunners. It stars Max Burkholder, Alanna Ubach, Scott Grimes, and Giorgia Whigham.
The eight episode second season will debut at Peacock on Thursday, March 5, 2026. That’s a perfect time for the people of Boston. The weather is still f***ing terrible that time of year. Watching TED will help make us all a lot less grumpy.
