In case you forgot, Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later is premiering all eight episodes tomorrow on Netflix, and it’s these short waits that are the hardest. So, after re-watching the movie and the 2015 Netflix series, there’s one more thing you can do in preparation for the new season: Listen to this Spotify playlists based on the show’s characters (via The A.V. Club).
The first is the one for you if you’re looking to set the mood for some after dark shenanigans: Curated by Paul Rudd’s bad boy character Andy Fleckner, “Doinkage 91” (the new series is set in 1991) features a healthy roster of bona fide sex jams, like Michael Bolton’s “When A Man Loves A Woman,” Bryan Adams’ “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You,” and the appropriately titled “Sex In The 90’s” by Gloria Estefan.
Ken Marino’s hopelessly romantic character Victor Pulak also took a stab at a mix for getting intimate, which is titled “PERManently Sexy.” Much like the character, the playlist is filled with good intentions but ultimately not a lot of success. Songs like “Super Freak” by James Brown and more than one Vanilla Ice cut show a level of sexual effort that’s ultimately not matched by a similar level of self-awareness.
If you want a mix curated by a talking can of vegetables, then you could say we’ve saved the best for last. H. Jon Benjamin’s character has a playlist that’s basically a list of things not to do at camp: “Necking,” “Fingerbang,” “The Old One, Two,” and of course, “Salt Water Taffy.”
Check out the playlists above, and let us know in the comments below which Camp Firewood mix is your favorite.
