Paramount Pictures is reviving the Paranormal Activity franchise alongside Blumhouse-Atomic Monster. And in a world where it seems to take 84 years for some things to progress, this film is already starting to chug ahead just weeks after its announcement. The Paranormal Activity reboot film is placing Canadian filmmaker Ian Tuason in the director’s chair. Additionally, James Wan will serve as a producer for the project.

These films are found footage flicks that rely on a lot of jump scares and such to thrill viewers. Somehow, there are seven films in this franchise already, yet I cannot tell you a thing about any installment after Paranormal Activity 2. It’s hard to remix the same concept in various ways, yet people are still obviously showing up for the sequels. The last one, Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin, wasn’t too long ago in 2021.
And we’d assume that this next film will hit in a year or so. It would make sense to have this reboot film’s release in 2027 to celebrate 20 years of the franchise. We will see what information continues to land as the months roll by.
