The Umbrella Academy is coming back for a fourth and final season. After season three’s bizarre storylines that left us with many questions, we cannot wait to see what happens next. How in the world will the Hargreeves siblings attempt to save the universe (again) when they don’t have powers anymore? Honestly, anything can happen, and if anyone can figure it out, it’s Five. But, he will have some opposition from Allison, who has gotten what she wants at a very steep price. We don’t know when The Umbrella Academy will return, but we do know that it’s in production in Toronto, and a few new faces are joining the series, including Nick Offerman, David Cross, and Megan Mullally.
In The Umbrella Academy season four, Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally will portray Drs. Gene and Jean Thibedeau, a married college professor duo from New Mexico who “wear sensible footwear and suffer from the most extreme case of déjà vu this timeline has ever seen.” What does that even mean? Who knows.
This show is so unserious (in the best way), especially with giving them the same first name in different flavors. It will be a delight to see Nick Offerman in this frankly wacky show, especially after his appearance in The Last of Us broke the hearts of many fans. David Cross will join The Umbrella Academy as Sy Grossman, “an upstanding, shy business owner and family man desperate to reconnect with his estranged daughter, who will stop at nothing to get her back.”
These three characters will be quite interesting, considering they do not have comic counterparts. And it seems that The Umbrella Academy‘s final season will pretty much do whatever it wants. The past seasons have covered pretty much all of its major comic arcs. Surprises await us in this new world featuring a very powerful Reginald Hargreeves, that other Ben, and much more.
