LEGO’s New Imperial Star Destroyer Set Features a Cal Kestis Minifigure

There are few things in the galaxy far, far away as rewarding for a Rebel as seeing an Imperial Star Destroyer ruined. Now LEGO wants to let Star Wars fans experience the complete opposite with all the same joy. The company’s new buildable toy starship playset will let fans young and old recreate one of the franchise’s most iconic and intimidating vessels. And this new LEGO Imperial Star Destroyer set will come complete with a Minifigure of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor‘s Cal Kestis.

LEGO’s upcoming 1,555-piece brick-built set will let both the Emperor’s loyal subjects and Rebel scum alike craft their own Imperial Star Destroyer. Designed for ages 10 and up, this toy features fun bonuses for recreating your own galactic battles. It includes a hidden foldout carry handle so you can help it fly. It also boasts two spring-loaded shooters. And this LEGO Imperial Star Destroyer has a lift-off top panel and foldout side panels so you can easily get to the interior. That’s where you’ll find the ship’s bridge, command room, break room, armory, control panels, and a cargo box. That box holds both thermal detonator parts and a Kyber crystal.

The LEGO Imperial Star Destroyer also comes with seven minifigures. You can hit lightspeed with Darth Vader, Commander Praji, an Imperial Gunner, an Imperial Navy Trooper, a Stormtrooper, and a special LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary, Cal Kestis. We know Star Wars fans will be very excited to see Cal Kestis in LEGO form.

When finished the collectible toy measures over 6-inches high, 18-inches long, and 11-inches deep. And with the LEGO Builder app you and your youngsters can “zoom, rotate and visualize a digital version of this construction toy” as you build it, all while tracking your progress.

The Imperial Star Destroyer LEGO set is available for pre-order at LEGO’s official website now. You can transport one home for $159.99. It will start shipping this summer on August 1, 2024. There is one downside to this set, though. After you finish building yours, there will be an Imperial Star Destroyer you’ll never want to see ruined.
