From the orcs’ fingernails to their eyes to their ears, everything looks enchanting and terrifying in its twisted realness. We also love seeing just how Theo has transformed, from a lost boy to a man whose fate hangs in the balance. Not to mention, the eerie lava-filled light of Barad-dûr perfectly pervades into every shot. And its sinister dark walls give this location it its very own character of menace.
