After an actor wins big at the Oscars, the question is always about what project they will get into next. Will they go from a horror show to a romantic comedy? Or will it be an action thriller that’s primed for summer blockbuster status? For Michael B. Jordan, it is a role that none of us expected: a furry woodland creature. No, that’s not a joke. Jordan has a lead voice role in Swapped, an animated Netflix buddy comedy movie with the most adorable trailer ever.
Before the clip starts, we see Michael with his niece and nephew, who call him Uncle Mike. They tell us that they hope we enjoy the trailer for Swapped. And you know what? We did. It’s so family friendly and cute, which is a far cry from Jordan’s much edgier dual role in Sinners.
In Swapped, Jordan plays a woodland creature who ends up swapping bodies with a bird (Juno Temple). The previous enemies get a taste of each other’s worlds and have to team up for their survival. Wouldn’t it be lovely if we were able to walk in someone else’s shoes? The world would be a better place.

Swapped also stars Tracy Morgan, Cedric the Entertainer and Justina Machado. It debuts on Netflix on May 1.
