Netflix’s CLIFF BEASTS 6 Trailer Secretly Points to THE BUBBLE Movie

Haven’t heard of Netflix’s upcoming movie The Bubble? Well, now you probably have. You might just not know it. Recently, Netflix released an action-packed trailer for a “new movie” entitled Cliff Beasts 6: The Battle For Everest. This movie has everything. Dinos, Mount Everest, a movie poster… Cliff Beasts 6 even has the cast of The Bubble. With an April 1 “release date,” we feel skeptical that Cliff Beasts 6 is a real movie. Although we would love to see it if it exists. Instead, we feel fairly confident this trailer mysteriously points to something else entirely.

The description for the Cliff Beasts 6 trailer reads:

Humankind is threatened once again by a dinosaur species: Cliff Beasts. The team must reunite, after 5 long years, to battle the Cliff Beasts – but this time on Mount Everest.

Okay. But honestly. We would watch this movie. We would also watch Cliff Beasts parts 1-5 if Netflix has them in the vault. How could we say no to roaring dinos and a crew so powerful they can mountain climb dizzying heights with their bare hands? The trailer for Cliff Beasts 6 also boasts a powerful cast. We spot Karen Gillan, Pedro Pascal, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key, and more.

Wait a minute. That’s the cast of Netflix’s upcoming movie, The Bubble. According to the streamerThe Bubble‘s logline shares that it’s a “comedy about a group of actors and actresses stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel attempting to complete a film.”

Additionally, Netflix shares the following description:

Sneaking out. Hooking up. Melting down. The cast and crew of a blockbuster action franchise attempt to shoot a sequel while quarantining at a posh hotel.

Now it all comes together. We’d bet the movie the group of actors works on in The Bubble is none other than Cliff Beasts 6. You got us Netflix.

The Bubble‘s cast includes Karen Gillan, Iris Apatow, Fred Armisen, Maria Bakalova, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key, Leslie Mann, Pedro Pascal, and Peter Serafinowicz. Judd Apatow serves as director and co-writer. Pam Brady also co-writes. The film does not yet have much more information than that.

So what does this all mean? Well, it could mean several things. Cliff Beasts 6 could be a real movie with a real trailer that’s really coming out on April Fool’s Day. Alternatively, The Bubble could release on April 1 instead. But most likely, Cliff Beasts 6 and its fun trailer cleverly point to The Bubble trailer’s release date.

We will just have to wait and see. (And cross our fingers we can actually watch Cliff Beasts 6 someday.)
