Can you hear that? Bzzzz. The hive is waking up as news about Yellowjackets season four begins to drop. The show is currently in production for its fourth and final season, which will answer all our burning questions about the girls’ final days in the wilderness and who survives the present day drama. While we look forward to seeing our fave girls in their teenage and adult forms, there are new faces joining this last round. Deadline reports that Molly Ringwald of Sixteen Candles fame is joining Yellowjackets season four as Van’s mom Vicky.
Apparently, Vicky has an alcohol abuse problem and is trying to fix issues from her past. Van senselessly died last season, so we are sure that her mom is going to want answers about that. How will Tai even begin to explain all this madness? Who will run Van’s awesome retro store now? Who knows. It will be interesting to see Molly Ringwald playing Van’s mom in Yellowjackets considering she’s only 58 years old IRL. It is plausible that she portrays Van’s mom in the past who has to process her daughter being found after so long.
Additionally June Squibb is joining the cast in an undisclosed role. We are ready to see how this story comes to a close.
