The cookbook, based on Warner’s Marvel Eat the Universe digital series, includes 60 Avengers-worthy recipes inspired by Marvel Comics history. Ever wondered what an omelette inspired by Rocket Raccoon would taste like? How about Hulk’s famous s(mashed) potatoes? Or how about what looks like a sure-to-be personal favorite, the Nova Space-Cop Galaxy Doughnuts? Now you can! And via io9, we have a look at a truly fantastic and horrifying image: Venom’s Pad See “Us.” Or as we like to call it, Venom tongue pasta.

io9 also has a look at Green Goblin’s Pumpkin Bombes. Those don’t look quite as startling.

In the digital series, celebrity chef Justin Warner hosts a wide-array of guests. Together they cook dishes inspired by Marvel’s rich history. With two full seasons of episodes under his belt, Warner has had guests such as Kevin Smith, Josh Horowitz, and Lyrica Okano stop by. They’ve made everything from simpler dishes like “Fantastic Four Grilled Cheese” to more complex dishes like “Black Panther’s Spicy Goat Brochette and Isombe.” It all sounds delicious!

With the popularity of Eat the Universe, Warner and Marvel decided to bring some of these video creations to the masses in cookbook form. Published by Insight Editions, Marvel Eat the Universe: The Official Cookbook is available for pre-order at Amazon.

While some of these recipes might prove to be challenging to a beginning chef, there’s no time like the present to brush up on your skills to prepare for this cookbook. It will arrive on July 28.
