Last year, DC Comics announced that the Man of Steel and J. Jonah Jameson’s least favorite superhero would reunite after 50 years in Superman/Spider-Man #1. Now, Marvel Comics is providing its version of the event, with several all-star creative teams, in Spider-Man/Superman #1, hitting comic book shops a mere month later, in April. The lead story features Spider-Man and Superman joining forces, and comes from the creative team of author Brad Meltzer (Identity Crisis) in his first full-length Marvel story, and frequent X-Men artist Pepe Larraz. The co-creator of longtime Superman ally Steel, Louise Simonson, teams up with Young Justice artist Todd Nauck. Together, they tell a tale about John Henry Irons’ clash with Spidey villain the Hobgoblin.
Current Amazing Spider-Man writer Joe Kelly and artist Humberto Ramos tell a story about the meeting of Gwen Stacy and Lana Lang, told on a college campus.
The two creators of Spider-Man Miles Morales, Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli, unite the 21st-century Spidey with the Man of Tomorrow.
Marvel/DC Spider-Man/Superman #1 is set to arrive in comic book shops and digitally in April.
