Magic: The Gathering is kicking of its 2026 slate of new sets with Lorwyn Eclipsed. Eighteen years after players first stepped into Lorwyn-Shadowmoor, this set boasts a new adventure that’s sure to thrill. The company gave fans some news on January 5, with a closer look at Lorwyn Eclipsed cards as well as a couple of very adorable videos featuring Jim Henson Company designed creatures. And yes, both of them are essentially music videos and it is indeed quite magical.
The future certainly looks bright (or perhaps dark if you are in Shadomoor) in this debut video. There’s a most excellent video description, which promises that you’ll “explore the dual-aspect plane of Lorwyn and Shadowmoor, an enchanted land split into forever day and eternal night where every path reveals a mirrored self. Encounter elves, kithkin, merrow, boggarts, flamekin, and more as you dive into new creature strategies and gameplay. Harness the powers of order and chaos with new mechanics…”
I’m not gonna lie. Shadowmoor seems like a vibe for sure. After a little musical intro, the video dives into Lorwyn Eclipsed cards and some frankly incredible artwork. You can check out a few of the set’s cards below:
If you’re look for another new jam, then look no further. “The Ballad of Squen and Cragg” is a full on Magic: The Gathering music video produced by the Jim Henson Company with characters designed by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
