Lobo, Deathstroke, and Batwoman Get New DC Series in 2026

Several iconic DC Comics heroes are making a huge comeback in 2026. And some, like Lobo and Deathstroke, are aiming to have big futures in the live-action DCU. While DC’s Absolute Universe is making waves, it has not abandoned its original, classic universe. And with DC Next Level, there’s an even bigger expansion coming soon. Starting in March, several series characters are receiving new series from well-established creative teams. Among the first wave are future Supergirl star Lobo, along with Deathstroke and Gotham City hero Batwoman.

Lobo

First up is Lobo, the “Main Man,” the violent alien anti-hero and “space biker” who just loves to fight Superman. (He also likes to be a jerk to pretty much everyone else.) This new series is your chance to get reacquainted with the character before Jason Momoa takes on the role next summer. The new Lobo series is written by Skottie Young with its art and main cover by Jorge Corona, and it debuts on March 4, 2026. Deathstroke: The Terminator

Next up is Deathstroke, another violent anti-hero who may also show up soon in the DCU. Slade Wilson, the man who inspired Marvel’s Wade Wilson a.k.a. Deadpool, has made hundreds of enemies in his day. Now, one of them is taking his world apart piece by piece. The hit is out on Deathstroke as he evolves into his purest form… a terminator out for revenge and ready to kill anyone who stands in his way. Deathstroke: The Terminator, written by Tony Fleecs with its art and cover by Carmine Di Giandomenico, debuts on March 18, 2026. This series returns Deathstroke to his “Terminator” nickname, which DC ditched thanks to the film franchise of the same name. But hey, it was Slade’s name first!

Batwoman

And finally, Greg Rucka returns to the character he co-created, the iconic LGBTQ+ hero Batwoman. According to DC’s official synopsis, Batwoman is “Daughter. Sister. Soldier. Hero. But since she was 10 years old, Kate Kane has lived in the shadow of a prophecy and the machinations of a religion devoted to the end of all things. How do you fight the devil when the devil is real? And how do you win?” Batwoman #1, written by Greg Rucka with artwork and cover art by DaNi, debuts on March 11, 2026. You can check out the main cover along with variants below:

Other iconic DC heroes are getting new series in 2026 as part of DC Next Level, including Firestorm, Zatanna, The Demon Etrigan, Barbara Gordon, the Teen Titans, and the Legion of Super-Heroes. Absolute Batman writer Scott Snyder says, “This line will launch similar to DC’s Absolute line of comics. The DC: Next Level books are very new-reader-friendly and will roll out over time. Like the Absolute line, this is an initiative that welcomes new readers looking for a jumping-on spot for DC’s main line of comic books.” DC KO writer Joshua Williamson added, “This is just the second phase of what we’ve planned for DC ALL IN. There’s a legion of stories still to be told.” A Legion, you say? We see what you did there.
