We Flip the Card to Reveal the LABYRINTH TAROT DECK Cover

Labyrinth entered the world in 1986 and introduced everyone to David Bowie’s Goblin King and Jennifer Connelly’s Sarah. The Jim Henson film embraced the whimsical and the weird. It certainly left a mark on the generation of its release and continues to retain pop culture relevance. And now the characters of the beloved movie can help guide your tarot practice. Insight Editions has an official Labyrinth Tarot Deck and Guidebook coming this summer, and Nerdist has your exclusive reveal of the beautifully illustrated cover.

We adore this art style. It’s like seeing Sarah and Jareth in an intricate linocut piece. The cover from illustrator Tomás Hijo adds to this set’s collectability. Hijo illustrated the whole deck, while Minerva Siegel wrote the text.

Whether you’re a Labyrinth fan, or practice tarot, or collect tarot decks, or all of the above, you might want to add this deck to your collection. The characters from the movie fit right into the traditional 78-card deck and its iconography. All the Major and Minor Arcana come in the set, which also includes a guidebook explaining each card’s meaning and outlining simple spreads. The latter will give you a place to start if you’re a beginner.

And hey, learning tarot with Sir Didymus, Hoggle, and my other Labyrinth faves sounds like a dream. Just look at Didymus on The Chariot card. The art style matches that same linocut look.

Meanwhile the Suit of Junk features the Worm and the Junk Lady. Both rather fitting choices.
