JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 Trailer Sets Up the Ultimate Fight for Freedom

John Wick’s story is truly one for the film ages. He goes from being a retired assassin who comes out of it after someone kills his dog to full “excommunicado” status that keeps him on the run. And through it all, he’s double tapping his foes and wearing a fly suit. We love a stylish killer. At the end of John Wick: Chapter 3 (also known as Parabellum), our battered and bruised hitman comes into a pact with The Bowery King against the High Table. And now we are finally getting a true look at what will happen next in a trailer for John Wick: Chapter 4.

As we expect, John Wick is still a man of layers in this fourth film. The trailer shows us that he still keeps that connection to his deceased wife, even in the midst of his fight for freedom. And whoa has the table (ahem) truly turned with the introduction of a new enemy and new rules. John links up with Winston to discover information about new management in town. He goes by the name/title of The Marquis de Gramont.

This guy is making more than a few dangerous new rules. John must go up against him one on one to finally gain his freedom. But, of course, that’s not as easy as it could be. The Bowery King gives John a new suit to possibly get buried in and John looks at him and says, “I’m going to need a gun.” It is not the first time there has been a Neo-esque gun reference in this franchise. But this one is different because, well, it is Neo and Morpheus together.

The John Wick: Chapter 4 trailer delivers all the action, intrigue, and suspense that this universe has built. Maybe this time, John will find his peace and still be alive to enjoy it. The film hits theaters on March 24, 2023.
