The super rad short finds Joe as he fights his way through a real life battle royale. The Raid regularly gets distracted, killed, and reborn as he tries to hunt down his nemesis and fellow fighter Dewi! It’s a super fun, silly, and brutal short that showcases Tjahjanto’s stunning eye for action. Not to mention, it highlights Taslim’s mix of martial arts talent and comedic timing. We get a whole bunch of fun fighting game riffs as well as a badass soundtrack. The coolest reveal comes at the end as we meet the man that Jota has been hunting down. It’s Jota himself! Sadly, we don’t get to see them face down though that is a fight we would want to see? Maybe in a potential follow up short?

If you’ve ever wanted to embody the radical martial artist and all his skills then your dream is about to come true! Garena Free Fire announced the news in a press release “Martial artist-turned-actor Joe Taslim will be a playable Free Fire character — called Jota — from the week of 16 March 2020. Joe’s character is exciting for Indonesian players; elevates his global popularity. Joe’s character will be equipped with the Sustained Raid skill; he recovers up to 40 HP after killing with an SMG or shotgun.”
