Fandom comes in many stripes, and for Michael Davis, it’s about Doctor Who, Cthulhu, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Pink Floyd. He’s worked with a single tattooist to bring his passions to life on his skin in complex sleeves with imagery that fits together seamlessly. Shane Sudduth, owner and tattoo artist at Terminus City Tattoo in Duluth, Georgia, has done all of Michael’s ink. Sudduth’s work is colorful and bold. First, take a look at this Pink Floyd leg sleeve:
The design incorporates all of Michael’s favorite album covers. You can see three more pictures showing off all sides of the tattoo in the gallery below. You’ll also find Michael’s Doctor Who TARDIS and Cthulhu battle and a Tolkien sleeve that incorporates symbols from The Silmarillion, The Hobbit, and Lord of the Rings. If you want to see more of Sudduth’s tattoos, follow him on Instagram.
If you have geeky tattoos on your skin or you’re a tattoo artist that applies pop culture, STEM, music, or other nerd-inspired ink on a regular basis, then please hit me up because I’d like to highlight you in a future Inked Wednesday gallery. You can get in touch with me via email at alratcliffe@yahoo.com. Send me photos of the tattoos you’d like me to feature and don’t forget to let me know the name of your tattoo artist if you have it, as well the name of the shop he or she works out of. If you are the tattoo artist, give me links to your portfolios and/or Instagram accounts so I can share them.
