And the 2020 Golden Globes Nominees Are…

Every year around this time, we of the media-obsessed variety inevitably engage with the same set of questions: Was it a good year for movies? Was it a good year for television? And will the best of each lot be duly recognized by the powers that be? Will our personal favorites be rejected in favor of less deserving fare? If you haven’t bothered to tackle said ruminations yet (we understand—you’ve been busy!), they’re no doubt bound to kick off in earnest what with the announcement of the 2020 Golden Globe Awards nominations.

On the morning of Monday, December 9, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association is taking to the internet, and the subsequently to the NBC tent pole The Today Show, to broadcast the set of films, television shows, and artists that will vie for trophies come ceremony time in January. The parties selected to courier the news this time around are the familiar faces of Dakota Fanning (who this past year appeared notably in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon at Time… in Hollywood as Manson Family top brass Squeaky Fromme), Susan Kelechi Watson (star of This Is Us and the Mister Rogers film A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood), and Tim Allen (who once again lent his voice to Buzz Lightyear, albeit with diminishing returns, for Toy Story 4).

But enough hullabaloo! You’re here for the nominees. So get to scrolling below!
