Mankind Turns to GODZILLA in New KING OF THE MONSTERS Teaser

The latest teaser for Godzilla: King of Monsters features some new footage, and makes clear Godzilla is mankind’s only hope for surviving a world of monsters.

“This is Godzilla’s world. We just live in it.”

Damn right, indeed, as the newest promo for the film, “Beautiful,” highlights how the King of the Monsters is the only chance humanity has of surviving the rise of three ancient beasts thought to be mere myths: Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah.

Mankind finds out what’s so intimidating in Pandora’s Box in the latest promo for Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

When you are the most fearsome creature to ever walk the earth, and you rule mightiest over all of the other terrible giants who wreak havoc on this world, you don’t need to do a lot to intimidate anyone or anything. Still, it’s always nice to send a message, just to remind any would-be enemies they would be foolish to stand against you. That’s exactly what our favorite kaiju does in the newest teaser for Godzilla: King of the Monsters, where the humanity’s greatest nightmares can be found below the waves, on the land, and above the skies.

“It’s an intimidation display.” Uh, yes, that is one way to put it. If we found ourselves under water looking at that “light show” though, we would probably describe Godzilla’s scare tactics using a series of screams, whimpers, and heart attacks.

This latest, action-packed look at the film might be brief, but it does offer some new footage that reminds us why we’re so excited for the film beyond it just being a new Godzilla movie. You can’t be King of the Monsters without a whole bunch of other of our favorite beasts to rule over, and this promo is full of them. We get a quick glimpse of Mothra, see Rodan and Ghidorah doing battle, and there’s also an amazing shot of Godzilla heading into combat with Ghidorah. Now that’s an intimidating lineup, and all they have to do to frighten us is show up.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters, directed by Michael Dougherty (Krampus), and starring Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, Charles Dance, Bradley Whitford, Sally Hawkins, Kyle Chandler, and David Strathairn, roars into theaters with all of his other giant friends this spring, on May 31.
