First IT CHAPTER TWO Clip Teases the Adult Losers Club

It was already a massive cultural touchstone before Andy Muschietti’s record breaking remake which quickly became the highest grossing horror movie of all time!

The film reimagined Stephen King‘s classic story and the beloved TV movie, setting the action in the ’80s, with a brand new central group of kids, who gained a massive and dedicated fanbase as they battled Bill Skarsgård’s Pennywise. Fans have been eagerly awaiting information about the upcoming sequel, which has slowly been coming together and is currently in pre-production (here’s everything we know so far). Well, during San Diego Comic-Con we got invited to New Line Cinema’s second annual Scare Diego event and were given our first glimpse of the film’s adult Losers Club.

Debuting a radical short which showcased the burgeoning production including storyboarding, table reads and Andy Muschietti excitedly proclaiming the sequel will “crank up the horror,” which he backed up with some terrifying new footage of Pennywise, New Line then teased the new Losers Club reuniting in the iconic Chinese restaurant in Derry. The moment is vital in the original TV movie, as it sees the Loser Club team up again after being called into action by Mike, in the clip we saw, the group are all shocked at the site of each other, before Bill Hader’s Richie Tozier breaks the silence with “Sup, Losers?” before James’s Ransom’s Eddie Kaspbrak drops an expletive and Richie responds with “So, what do you guys want to talk about?”

Even though it was only a quick look at the new film it was clear from the reaction in San Diego’s Grand Horton Theatre that anticipation is incredibly high for the film, and we definitely cannot wait to see what Muschietti and co. bring to the table!
