It will be a long time before we get Fallout 5. But that doesn’t mean fans aren’t already wondering what that game will offer. Right now, the Fallout TV series is back for season two and taking us through the Wasteland as Lucy and the Ghoul dive into New Vegas and all its drama. And, we already know that a third season of the series is in the works. Now, Bethesda development chief Todd Howard has confirmed that the Fallout TV series will have an impact on Fallout 5.

“Fallout 5 will be existing in a world where the stories and events of the show happened or are happening… We are taking that into account,” Howard said to BBC Newsbeat. We don’t know when or where Fallout 5 will take place but now it seems that whatever we get from the show’s characters will have an impact on the game.
Perhaps it will pick up where the show leaves off with characters that we have yet to meet. Or, whatever happens with Lucy could impact the Wasteland years later in Fallout 5. Either way, things will remain nebulous for a while when it comes to Fallout 5 but at least we have the TV series to carry us.
