A long time ago George Lucas forever changed the world when Star Wars came to theaters in 1977. Now the Skywalker family saga that has been at the heart of the galaxy far, far away is ready to come to an end. The Rise of Skywalker will mark the ninth and final film about the most famous—and infamous—clan in the universe. It’s why fans are looking back as much as they are looking forward. Now we can do both with Empire magazine’s upcoming special edition. The magazine’s multiple covers will celebrate 42 years of the franchise and give us a glimpse at what we can expect from the final movie.

Empire, which has a long and storied history covering all things related to the Force, has announced its largest ever Star Wars issue ahead of The Rise of Skywalker‘s release. It will be available everywhere in three special commemorative covers when it goes on sale November 28. Each pays tribute to the new trilogy, from its greatest heroes—both old and new—as well as its most sinister villains. The first features Rey, Finn, Rose, Chewie, BB-8, and Naomi Ackie’s newcomer Jannah.

The third cover is a celebration of the Dark Side, as Kylo stands in front of the Knights of Ren. This is maybe the best look we’ve had yet at the deadly Dark Side fighters who helped him destroy Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Temple.

Our favorite cover is all of them.
Empire also says the special issue will include “brand new images and insights from the final chapter, and all-new interviews with Sequel Trilogy stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Kelly Marie Tran, the legendary Anthony Daniels and Billy Dee Williams, franchise newcomers Naomi Ackie and Keri Russell, and writer-director J.J. Abrams and co-writer Chris Terrio.”
That’s not all it will though. It will also come with a “bonus Skywalker Saga magazine” that celebrates all nine films.

It’s like we just heard a million Reylo voices scream out in joy… just like all Star Wars fans will in a month, even if we’re going to be sad it’s all over.
