We love an exciting announcement that contains almost no details. It lets us look forward to everything that’s still to come. And recently, Elden Ring gave us exactly that. The popular game has, to date, not yet had any expansions or DLCs for its base game. But that’s all about to change. Elden Ring took to social media to announce the title of its new expansion and it offered fans this tantalizing tidbit.
An upcoming expansion for Elden Ring, Shadow of the Erdtree, is currently in development. We hope you look forward to new adventures in the Lands Between.
Let us walk a new path together indeed. Shadow of the Erdtree does have a nicely ominous ring to it. And we’re definetly excited for new adventures. And hey, we even got some concept art for this Elden Ring DLC expansion to help us get our theories flowing. In it we see a dying Erdtree in the distance and a rider in white making her way toward it. Around them, ghostly figures seem to populate the landscape. We have chills already.
Early speculation indicates this figure might be Miquella, a mysterious Elden Ring figure that players haven’t yet officially gotten to meet in the game. But no official information has confirmed this. There’s also no release date yet for the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC expansion. But that’s not surpising since details remain scarce. But we’re sure whatever this new story brings, it will only increase fans’ love for the game.
