Dunkin’ Giving New England What It Has Always Wanted – Literal Buckets of Iced Coffee

“I need a bucket of coffee.” I have said those exact words many, many times in my life. And I have meant it every single time. Now, as a proud lifelong resident of Massachusetts, our most sacred institution is going give me exactly what I want/need/crave. Some Dunkin’ stores in New England are now testing out literal buckets of ice coffee for its most devoted drinkers.

Select Dunkin’ locations in the great Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as well as New Hampshire, are going big. Some stores are now selling 48-ounce buckets of three chilled beverages: coffee, ice lattes, and Dunkin’ Refreshers. That’s twice the size of the largest drink many of us has to begrudgingly accept before this tremendous, important product (which we first heard about at The Guardian) hit stores. Bit this is not just a bigger cup. It’s a real bucket that comes with a special cap and straw. That way you can drink it right out of the bucket. Like an adult. Despite the oversized serving and special container, these are selling for between $8.89 up to $9.49 for a Refresher.

So far about a dozen stores across the two states are offering the Dunkin’ Beverage Bucket. However, some reports say certain stores are already sold out, so maybe call ahead before driving to get one. Or wait. The Guardian says more stores in New England are expected to begin selling them soon.

If Dunkin’ is waiting to see if these are a hit before possibly rolling them out nationwide then I’d like to offer some official, informed analysis as a lifelong Dunkin’ fan, New Englander, and pop culture writer: LOL. These things are going to be huge. Selling literal buckets of Dunkin’ iced coffee to New Englanders is not exactly going to be difficult
