Leave it to the Duffer Brothers to turn what’s normally a joyous occasion into something downright creepy. Fresh off the ending of the duo’s massive hit series Stranger Things, they are sticking with the horror vibes but going in a totally different direction by following a bride and groom’s journey up until their wedding day. Until now, we’d only seen a few ominous images from Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen (what a title, haha) but now there’s a trailer to showcase the drama that the Duffer Brothers is cooking up.
This is not a wedding that I’d ever, ever want to attend. Showrunner Haley Z. Boston just might become the next household name when this series hits Netflix. There’s something very Ready or Not vibes about this, but we are sure there will be other plot twists along the way. Even the room where the ceremony is happening feels dank and devoid of all joy. I love to see it.
The series’ tagline questions if this guy is really the one, and I’d say he is. No, not the one you should marry. He’s the one you should run away from. I could be wrong, but this trailer for the Duffer Brothers Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen suggests that death will do them part far sooner than it should.
