Really, how much can one poor Steve fan take? First, the Stranger Things 5, Volume 2 trailer was released, and in it, Steve and Dustin broached the subject of their own deaths. There was finally death talk on main, and it was Steve and Dustin saying, “You die, I die,” to one another. EXCUSE ME? Now, on an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the Duffer Brothers went after Steve Harrington again! When asked by Fallon to hint at how the show might end using Funko dolls, they strongly implied Steve might die… Or at least, fall off the earth in some bad way?! Duffer Brothers, step away from the Steve Funko. We already told you that Steve cannot DIE in Stranger Things 5.
Of course, the Duffers are likely only teasing us with the idea of Steve’s death in Stranger Things 5. They probably wouldn’t just reveal that using dolls?! Or would they? We don’t like the mean way they kept pushing Steve to the edge of the desk, at any rate. Could Stranger Things 5 really end with Steve falling off the edge of the earth? We would be so mad if Steve was left for dead in the Upside Down at the end of the Stranger Things‘s final season. But, on the other hand, if he fell into the Upside Down, was trapped there for an eternity, but found out Eddie was still alive… We could live with that.
Aside from Steve’s implied death, the Duffer Brothers Funko ending for Stranger Things 5 reveals Eleven in some water and Will sandwiched between Vecna and Henry Creel. Curious and curioser. We know from our first-look clip from Stranger Things 5, Volume 2 that Joyce wants Will to break into Vecna’s brain. Could that be what the Duffers are showing us about the series’ ending? But if THAT’s true, is the premonition of Steve’s death true in Stranger Things 5 true, too?
