Destin Daniel Cretton Confirms SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY Is Done Filming

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has wrapped filming in December 2025. Production started on the upcoming Tom Holland-led film back in August 2025 and even met a small delay after his injury on set. But now, that journey is over and post-production work, which is a big chunk of a film with lots of CGI elements, begins. To celebrate the occasion, Brand New Day director Destin Daniel Cretton took to Instagram with a heartfelt message about wrapping filming and working with the film’s creative team.

“I’m so deeply grateful for the people who walked with me through the biggest, most rewarding film I’ve ever been a part of,” he wrote on Instagram. The post included pictures of Cretton with Holland and other cast and crew members. In addition to thanking his family for their support, he also gave the cast and crew lots of props, especially Tom Holland.

“To our amazing cast, for breathing so much life into these beloved characters and moving us every day. To our unbelievable crew, who worked tirelessly with unmatched creativity and craftsmanship, who made me laugh so hard my stomach never stopped hurting,” Cretton said. “I love you all so much and can’t wait for the world to see your stunning work on the big screen. And of course, to @tomholland2013, for your kind, generous leadership on and off screen, for your relentless work ethic, your fearless performances, and for your friendship. That’s a wrap on Spider-Man: Brand New Day!”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will swing into theaters on July 31, 2026. That’s a huge month for Mr. Holland considering that Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey will drop a couple of weeks ahead of this film. We can’t wait to see trailers and figure out who Sadie Sink is playing in Brand New Day.
