Ever wonder who would win in a Superman vs. Homelander fight? How about Batwoman vs. Vampirella? DC’s current battle royale crossover event, DC KO, will soon provide the answers to those questions. DC Comics has announced that in February, their upcoming DC KO tie-in comic, DC KO: Boss Battle #1, will showcase DC’s heroes and villains taking on characters from across the multimedia multiverse. The one-shot comes from Aquaman writer Jeremy Adams and artists Ronan Cliquet, Carmine Di Giandomenico, Kieran McKeown, Pablo M. Collar, and Hi-Fi. DC KO: Boss Battle #1
For the first time ever, several DC characters will brawl with characters from comics, video games, movies, and television. Among the contestants drawn into battle are Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat, Homelander from The Boys, Red Sonja, and Vampirella. Even The Conjuring franchise’s infamous evil doll, Annabelle, gets in on the action. (We hope she fights Batman baddies Ventriloquist and Scarface). And in a surprise twist, DC today revealed that Archie Comics’ supernatural icon, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, will also make a cameo appearance.
The DC KO event has the publisher’s pantheon of characters fight each other for the title “King Omega,” the only true champion who can defeat Darkseid. Until now, the fights were limited to DC characters. But now, characters from across the pop culture spectrum get to join in the fun. But the one fans are most excited for is no doubt Superman vs. Homelander. Writer Jeremy Adams said, “Homelander vs Superman! The biggest A-hole in pop culture right now is fighting the big blue Boy Scout? Come on! My only regret is that I didn’t have more pages to show these guys punch and kick…and for Superman to tell Homelander to shut his potty mouth before launching him into the sun!”

DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1 arrives on February 4 at comic shops and digital. It features a main cover by Jamal Campbell and cardstock variants by Jeff Spokes, Darick Robertson & Diego Rodriguez (featuring Homelander). Patrick Horvath’s cover features Samantha Strong, and Frank Cho & Sabine Rich showcase Vampirella, Red Sonja, and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Gleb Melnikov illustrates an AEW cameo variant. DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1 will retail for $4.99 US (main), $5.99 US (card stock variants), and $7.99 (foil variant).
