DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN Season 2 Trailer Shows NYC in Chaos

One of last year’s most pleasant Marvel surprises was Daredevil: Born Again, which brought back Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, and Vincent D’Onofrio as his sworn enemy, Wilson Fisk. In Born Again, six years after we left these characters, Fisk became the Mayor of New York City. As a result, our good lawyer Matt had to bring his vigilante alter ego back, after he retired him due to a major tragedy. The end of Daredevil: Born Again season one saw a huge shift in the status quo. Mayor Fisk enacts martial law, declaring masked heroes illegal. Now, season two will show the fallout of Fisk’s power grab, as you can see in the new trailer below:

The new trailer also highlights the return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones. Matt’s Defenders buddy from the Netflix days has agreed to work together to take on Fisk’s corrupt and fascist government. We also get lots of shots of Daredevil busting the heads of Fisk’s militarized police force. We also catch a glimpse of Matt’s black Daredevil costume, something he famously wore in the Shadowland comics storyline. There’s also a quick cameo of Hawkeye’s Jacques Duquesne, a.k.a. the Swordsman, in prison. Original Daredevil star Deborah Ann Woll also returns as Karen Page, probably in a more prominent role this season. And Daredevil finally gets his proper DD emblem from the comics. Only took 11 years.

This trailer also shows off a moment where Fisk goes into the boxing ring, as he punches a guy out cold. Blood spatters everywhere, and you can tell this is a version of Fisk who is relishing his role as a criminal again. This being a Daredevil project, there needed to be one good hallway fight, which the trailer delivered on. We all just love seeing old Hornhead go feral on some jerks in a hallway, don’t we? We’ll soon see how this all unfolds when Daredevil: Born Again season two drops on Disney+ on March 24.
