Daredevil: Born Again season two gave us a double dose of drama with episodes two and three releasing together. In the midst of training for his “fight night” (…I know), Fisk tries to pull a fast one on Matt Murdock by announcing that he’s likely alive, and encouraging people to go and look for this hero. Poindexter aka Bullseye is back on the scene as well, dropping Task Force agents with ease. And Karen and Daredevil get a win by locating and releasing a bunch of people from Fisk’s “vigilante” detention cages. But, the big turning point in these two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again is the rise of a new hero, with Angela stepping into the role of the White Tiger.

As we all remember, her uncle Hector Ayala was coldly murdered in season one. Since then, Angela and her aunt Soledad have been trying to process their grief and move forward. Things come to a major turning point in episode two when they stop in a bodega. Soledad sees a kid that Angela knows named Javi attempting to steal alcohol.
The store’s owner pulls out a gun and Soledad desperately tries to talk him down. A Task Force officer comes in and quickly escalates things, throwing Javi to the ground. Soledad puts her hand on the officer’s shoulder to try to get him to stop, and he quickly accuses her of assault and arrests her. This sends Angela into an emotional spiral because when a Task Force officer takes someone, they are usually never seen again.

Angela goes to the law office and takes the box with her uncle’s tiger amulet in it. In episode three, Karen and Daredevil are making their move on the detention location. Karen spots Angela, who says that she wants to help because her aunt may be there. She’s wearing white and even managed to snag some AVTF gear and communications, which proves to be helpful. Alongside the Swordsman, Daredevil, and a very badass Karen, Angela brings the fight to the AVTF officers and helps dozens of people escape. Of course, Fisk is angry and blows up the Northern Star, killing all the men onboard.
So, it looks like Angela will become a powerful hero in Daredevil: Born Again season two as the White Tiger. This aligns with her comic book history and could possibly set her up to become a Young Avenger in the future. She gets to carry the torch that Hector left behind and can help liberate NYC from Fisk’s reign.
