LEGO is releasing three new sets for the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World, including “Captain America vs. Red Hulk Battle.” The set includes a first look at minifigures for Sam Wilson’s version of Captain America, played by Anthony Mackie, and the Red Hulk.
The Captain America vs. Red Hulk battle is currently available for pre-order, retailing at $54.99, with only 223 pieces in the set. But with that steep price tag, you will get four minifigures, including Captain America, Falcon, Red Hulk, and Ruth Bat-Seraph. You even get to build a LEGO jet plane to act out the fight scene between Captain America and the Red Hulk that we will see in Brave New World.
There are two different play features. The jet plane has an opening cockpit and two stud shooters. Additionally, you can lift a top section of the plane off, revealing a hidden storage compartment.
The scene the set depicts will appear in the movie, but of course, we aren’t sure exactly what it will look like yet. Upcoming LEGO sets are a great way of getting clues for upcoming movies. Since LEGO needs all the information and assets about the film to make the sets well in advance, they are able to put sets out for pre-order that reveal characters and plot lines.
The other two sets are the Captain America Construction figure and the BrickHeadz Captain America and Red Hulk figures double pack, both featuring buildable figures of characters from the film. The Captain America Construction Figure retails for $34.99, whereas the BrickHeadz one is $19.99. You can pre-order the construction figure and battle set, which will ship out on Dec 1. The BrickHeadz set can be pre-ordered starting Dec 1.
Captain America: Brave New World hits theaters on Feb 14 next year.
