Did Unreleased AVENGERS 4 Promos Confirm Our MCU Theory?

Warning: There are potential spoilers ahead for Avengers 4!

Avengers: Infinity War is just about wrapping up its incredible box office run, but Marvel hasn’t given up on its veil of secrecy. Kevin Feige and company are pretending that everyone who died in “the Dusting” aren’t coming back for their own movie sequels, and the official name of Avengers 4 still hasn’t been announced. However, some newly leaked promotional artwork may shed some light on what’s next for the MCU. Today’s Nerdist News is explaining what it may mean for Avengers 4.

These images haven’t been officially released by Marvel, but they appear to be more than just fan art. And if we can take these images at face value, it confirms that Rocket and Nebula are joining the surviving Avengers as members of the team. It also reveals that Captain America’s lumberjack beard was among Infinity War‘s casualties.

Cap also appears to be getting a new costume that better reflects his comic book counterpart, while Black Widow will once again be rocking the red hair. Additionally, War Machine is getting a major upgrade on his armor, but the one we’re really intrigued about is Hulk. The green Goliath has traded in his rags for a new outfit which suggests we’ll be getting a much smarter Hulk. There is a precedent for that in the Marvel Universe, and it could indicate that the new Hulk blends together elements of Bruce Banner and his alter ego. Or perhaps Banner is finally in charge of the Hulk’s body.

Thanos also appears in the new images, and he’s got a brand new axe. His Infinity Gauntlet also seems to be intact, despite the damage it took when he snapped away half of the universe. What’s it going to take to resolve that cliffhanger and bring back the heroes who were lost? We’ve got a few theories about that as well.
