The Internet does its best work when it’s sleep deprived and trying to avoid the darkness of reality. These two forces came together to support Ariana Grande, whose new single “thank u, next” dropped over the weekend right before her ex, Pete Davidson, appeared on  Saturday Night Live. The track is a positive thank you letter to all of Grande’s exes, including Davidson, Big Sean, and Mac Miller. And fans of Grande and pop culture alike took the lyrics “One taught me love, one taught me patience, and one taught me pain” and applied them to characters, people, books, and much more on social media.Some of the best Ariana Grande memes of the week include:Pottermore’s take included  Harry Potter‘s Defense Against the Dark Arts professors.
