Yellowjackets season three’s new trailer is a bizarre ride in the best way. As we all know, the end of season two left us in a lurch in the past with the girls fleeing from their burning cabin. Things didn’t look too good for Coach Ben, who seems like he might be up next for dinner. In the present, the shocking death of Natalie brought a chaotic reunion at Lottie’s compound to a tragic conclusion. Now, we are getting a deeper look into what’s going on.
There’s so much to unpack here. Ghost Jackie is back and haunting present day Shauna. Speaking of her, she’s spiraling out in both timelines, howling at the moon and forcefully taking charge in the wilderness. There’s once again someone who is threatening their lives in the modern day about whatever happened in the woods. And, we finally get our first real glimpse of Hilary Swank.
The Yellowjackets trailer doesn’t give us much insight into who she is, but we do see her get out of a car with a bloody arm before she says “oh shit” and takes off running. It’s all very intriguing. As a fan of the Man With No Eyes, I am delighted that he’s back again and looking more fabulous than ever!
We will get more about what really went down in the wilderness when Yellowjackets season three premieres on February 14.
