It seems that Marvel Television will continue to have more fun after Agatha All Along. While the studios’ 2025 TV slate includes gritter offerings like Daredevil: Born Again, there will also be more comedic shows like Wonder Man starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. The series will center on Simon Williams, a stuntman and actor who lands a role as Wonder Man before gaining superpowers to actually become a hero. Along with several other shows, we got our first official teaser clip for Wonder Man, and it looks like a good time.
We see Simon enter a room with an unimpressed panel as he says he is reading for the role of the titular character. He nabs it and says he was born to play this character as he rides through the set. Simon quickly gets into hijinks with his agent Neal, who warns him not to mess up this role. It remains to be seen how he goes from ordinary actor to extraordinary hero, but a teaser is not meant to tell you too much of the story.
Also, I have to say that I am looking forward to seeing Yahya in a super suit for many, many reasons.
New first-look images from Wonder Man also reveal the return of Sir Ben Kingsley as the MCU’s Trevor Slattery. We’re not sure if we can trust this fellow, but we’ll have to wait and see what’s in store.
What Is the Release Date for Wonder Man on Disney+?
Wonder Man will hit streaming in December 2025. In the meantime, check out his comic book history to prep for this series.
