It’s time to meet the Muppets! Well, it’s time to meet the Muppets, again, in their brand new LEGO Minifigure forms. This new series of The Muppets Minifigures brings all the puppet fun of the beloved franchise and combines it with the excitement of collectible LEGO pieces. But one thing to know about these Minifigures is that they come in blind boxes, or more specifically, sealed mystery bags. And that always spells a tricky adventure for the determined collector.
The official description for The Muppets LEGO collection shares:
Delight a child or Muppets fan with these iconic LEGO Minifigures The Muppets (71033) bags for ages 5+. This unique series features a great lineup of exclusive Disney’s The Muppets characters to collect and display or to take independent or group play in unexpected new directions… Children and adult fans can say “Hi!” to a special limited-edition range of imaginative characters, including Animal, Beaker, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Janice, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Rowlf the Dog, Statler, The Swedish Chef and Waldorf.
All our favorites are there for us to collect, but the question is can we find them? Because, when it comes to these 12 LEGO muppets, “each finely crafted, highly detailed LEGO Minifigure comes in a sealed ‘mystery’ bag with one or more accessories and a collector’s leaflet, making a great little gift that will put a smile on anyone’s face.” They do make a great gift, but what if we can’t find the one we want? That’s the trouble with blind boxes. Although not knowing which figure you’re getting can feel like part of the fun.
We also love that each Muppet Minifigure comes with accessories that show off their personality. Kermit the Frog has a banjo and rainbow. Miss Piggy has a promotional headshot of herself, of course. Fozzie Bear has a mic stand and a banana. If you get the right mystery bags, you can even start your own Muppet band. These Muppet LEGOs are, to put it simply, just too cute.
For those wanting to try their luck for the Muppet of their dreams, the LEGO Minifigure collection goes on sale on May 1.
