Miniatures Board Game Siege of the Citadel Is Being Rebooted

Powered by Geek & Sundry

Thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign, the “techno-fantasy” miniatures board game Siege of the Citadel first released in the 90s is being rebooted with updated designs and rules. In case you didn’t know, Siege of the Citadel is set in the universe of Mutant Chronicles, which features “a solar system beset by corporate intrigue and the invasion of a terrible dark alien force.”

But first, check out the Kickstarter intro video to get an overview of what to expect in this new edition of the popular game:

Siege of the Citadels rests firmly into the hearts of fans because of the scenarios that would allow for leveling between sessions. The boards are back along with the great miniatures that you remember the first time around.  Richard Borg is back on board to spruce up the rules along with powerhouse game designers Kevin Wilson (Descent: Journeys in the Dark), Eric Lang (The Others), and Jay Little (X-Wing: Miniatures Game). When this box comes out, it is going to be bursting at the seams with floors to explore, miniatures to fight, and enough talent to fill five shelves.

They also released an expansion called The Brotherhood if you pledge at the $149 level. Just interested in the base level of the game? No problem. Not only will you get the halls and miniatures above, but the base level comes with attack dice, plastic insert stairwell and tile, standing doors and portals, and 162 cards.
