Movies that Would Make Great TV Shows

Hollywood loves remakes. With Fargo becoming a successful TV show based on a movie, it’s no surprise that they’re looking to other successful films like the Scream franchise to fill the endless channels on our screens. While it may not always be the smartest idea, here are a few films that would actually make great TV shows.

Nightcrawler

A series based on Nightcrawler could be the most terrifying show ever. Obsessed with getting his gruesome video on the local news, Lou would start working for the station and spend his off-hours chasing down ambulances. As the show went on, his sense of right and wrong would deteriorate demonstrating the danger of news-culture on society until he finally cracked.

The film adaptations of this book series focus on Lizbeth as a genius-hacker and Mikael as an investigative reporter, but a season of this show could follow their latest mystery and hijinks. There’s no shortage of danger and intrigue for these two to find. Put it on cable and it can get even darker than that Fincher film.

Creating a documentary-style show based on aliens invading South Africa and creating a refugee camp could be pretty epic to see on TV. The show could follow the constant trouble between the aliens and humans plus confrontations within the camp. Also, the show could bring up a lot of moral predicaments and encourage the audience to rethink how certain groups of people have been treated throughout history.

A behind the scenes look into this facility that basically orchestrates all of the horror in the world would be so fascinating. Weekly episodes could follow certain planned horror events as they’re created along with the moral implications and struggles of the characters working at the facility. A weekly horror show with a sickening view of humanity.
