We’re less than a month away from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the final film in the Skywalker saga, and publicity for the film is already in gear. Adam Driver–who’s also promoting his films The Report and Marriage Story–is on the late night interview circuit, new Star Wars footage premiered during Good Morning America, and now Daisy Ridley is joining in on the fun.
The actress, who plays Rey in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week to talk about The Rise of Skywalker, and to have a little bit of extra fun promoting the concluding film. And what better way to celebrate the end of a hugely famous saga than with a little rap recap?
Here’s Miss Ridley explaining the plots of all eight Star Wars films—The Rise of Skywalker excluded, for confidentiality reasons, of course–in the form of a very detailed rap, while Jimmy Fallon accompanies her words with some helpful image-based cards.
And then there’s the rap itself, which is loaded with some pretty amazing rhymes. Not only do we get to hear Daisy recite Princess Leia’s famous “help me Obi-Wan Kenobi, you’re my only hope” moment, but the entire rap is full of some hilarious turns of phrase. “Solo shoots first, don’t say that I’m wrong, it took him 12 parsecs for this Kessell Run” is a particular favorite, although we also love this bit that sums up the end of the prequel era: “Mace Windu, Anakin loses an arm to Dooku, secret marriage, twins in the carriage, Palpatine’s savage and Vader breaks through.”
Oh and Reylos? Don’t worry, Daisy’s rap is here for us shippers, too. When it comes time to rap about The Last Jedi, she gifts us with this little blurb: “Kylo won’t put on a shirt, Kylo is kind of a flirt.” Obviously this sent the Rey and Kylo fans of Twitter on a bit of a tailspin. (Understandably so!)

It’s the little things, folks!
This is definitely the thing we plan to watch on a loop as we prepare ourselves for The Rise of Skywalker. Thank you, Daisy Ridley, for providing such joy. We always knew Rey could do anything, but it turns out you can, too. The Force is certainly with your rap talents.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker soars its way to theaters on December 20.
