Cover up your necks—again—because Nosferatu will soon be in your home. Well, at least he will be if you invite him. Normally we don’t recommend doing that with any vampire, especially a really famous one. But in this case you’ll probably want to. Writer-director Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu will soon arrive on digital, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD. And when it does it’s bringing a special gift. The film’s home release will include an all-new, never-before-seen extended cut.
Nosferatu is still scaring audiences in theaters. But it won’t be long before you can enjoy Robert Eggers “re-imagining” of the iconic vampire story from the comfort of your own couch. The movie will arrive on digital platform and store shelves on February 18, 2025. The film’s home release will also come with a tasty mix of extras depending on which editions you purchase. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment lists the differences between each. Those who opt for the Extended Cut 4K UHD copy will get everything. That includes a commentary track from Eggers himself, three deleted scenes, and a comprehensive behind-the-scenes featurettes. You can find the full list of available extras below. The home release also indicates the extended cut includes three additional minutes beyond the theatrical run time of 2:13.
Nosferatu stars Bill Skarsgård, Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, and Willem Dafoe. Feel free to invite them all into your house for an extended stay.
