Guess the ’80s References in These STRANGER THINGS Tribute Posters

Although Stranger Things fans have come to love the series as more than a simple throwback to 1980s horror and adventure flicks, there’s no denying that nostalgia for this era of chill-laden pop culture is what roped many viewers into the show to begin with. In priming for season two, producers have opted to lean deep into Stranger Things‘ spiritual tether to the great thrillers of and around the era; on Thursday, the Netflix program’s official Twitter account released an array of original posters, each of which pays homage to a different horror, slasher, or sci-fi epic from the late ’70s or ’80s.

You can check out these new Stranger Things posters below. We’re sure you’ll recognize a few of the references right away, but we’ve included a link below each poster to its respective inspiration.

Recognize this one? All we’ll say is that it’s some good poster, Harry.

Get those woodchips ready for this one.

Friends come in and out of our lives, like demogorgons in a mysterious nether realm.

Come on, cat, this is an easy one.

We’re not into politics, we’re into posters.
