Western RICK AND MORTY, “Goodbye Moonmen” Vinyl Are Funko Comic-Con Exclusives

If you’re coming to Comic-Con with the hope of seeing the first footage from Rick and Morty season 4, there you’re probably going to be disappointed. Co-creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland only recently lined up a massive 70 episode renewal, and it’s going to take some time to deliver. Fortunately, Funko is offering a few Rick and Morty Comic-Con exclusives that may help fill the void.

Via the official Funko blog, Western Rick and Western Morty Pops will be among this year’s exclusive Comic-Con figures. They appear to be alternate world versions of the titular characters who appeared in “Close Rick-counters of the Rick Kind” during the first season of Rick and Morty. While Rick and Morty were taken captive by the Council of Ricks, Morty spotted “Cowboy Morty” immediately before Rick told him that he was “easily impressed.”

Western Rick must not have fully committed to the role. His hat, belt, and shirt seem period appropriate, but he doesn’t even have a holster for his Portal Gun.

Now, Western Morty goes for the full cowboy look, including the spurs on his boots, as apparently inspired by Toy Story‘s Woody. But the next Funko exclusive may be even more enticing. It’s a Rick and Morty Collector Box that features a “Goodbye Moonmen” t-shirt and a limited edition  7” vinyl recording of the David Bowie-like song performed by Fart (Jemaine Clement) in season 2’s “Mortynight Run.”

This is the perfect excuse to revisit the video and listen to the song again.

The Rick and Morty exclusives will be available at Funko’s booth during the San Diego Comic-Con from July 19 to July 22.
