World ending disasters are common place in science fiction, and usually an inventive plan is required to save the day. In the new Chinese film, The Wandering Earth, a truly unique solution is presented when the human race discovers that the Sun is dying and will soon expand, destroying the Earth– turn the planet into it’s own spaceship by building thrusters along the surface and moving it out of the Solar System.
