The newest from the retro cover group features Casey Abrams, Snuffy Walden, and The Fyre Music Box giving us an uptempo, jaunty take on the beloved song. Even after hearing Weezer’s version non-stop the last few months (there was apparently a law that every radio station had to play it at least once an hour), we doubt anyone will be worn out on it when they listen to this totally unique, very fun spin.
Did anyone expect to be playing this song on repeat again so quickly? Probably not, and yet here we are.
In addition to the great cover, this video has more story than a typical PMJ cover, since it marks the start of their second season. This is the first of what should be many videos for their new album, “Blue Mirror.” But if you’re hoping they’ll close this circle of covers by recording a Weezer song, don’t worry—they already did that. Of course they did.
