These Realistic Disney Illustrations Are Magical

Since 1937 with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Disney has given us some of the most memorable characters of all time. Yes, we get that there were fairy tales long before the films came along, but when combined with the Disney magic, they became something more. Throughout the years, people have been inspired by these characters and what Disney has done with them, and Instagram user Jirka Vinse Jonatan Väätäinen is one of those. He’s a fantastic artist and proved it by taking Disney characters and rendering them as if they were in the real world.

Merry Christmas peeps! As promised, here is my little Christmas elf – #Peterpan! 🌿 In Finland it’s actually on Christmas Eve when we exchange presents, so I wanted to give this gift to my IG followers today 🎀 To be found on #jirkavinse.com tomorrow! #RealLifeDisneyGuys #RealLifeDisneyCharacters

What’s amazing about these paintings is that while Peter looks like he could be living right here in our world, Jirka didn’t take away the character traits from his face that makes him the DISNEY Peter Pan. Otherwise, while it would still be an amazing picture, it would be just a kid in an elf costume.

So many requests for this one – and I finally found some time give her a go! So without further ado, here is my take on #Moana 🌺 🌊 Soon on #jirkavinse.com #RealLifeDisney #RealLifeDisneyGirls

The same thing goes for Moana. While here features give her a less stylized look, she still has what makes her Moana.

Happy #Halloween everyone! I’ve been preparing a little treat for you all 😈 #RealLifeDisneyVillains soon on #jirkavinse.com. Here is my take on #Cruella from #101dalmatians 🐶 #CruelladeVil

It’s not surprising that the hardest characters to give that realistic look to would be the villains. Cruella looks evil as all get out, but she still has that “female Joker” grin that’s a little too creepy for the real world.
