Everyone loves a good macaron. The popular sweet, which is probably French for “dessert hamburger,” is like a delicious, sugary sandwich that lets transports you to another realm of fanciful flavors. While these meringue-based cookies are undeniably delicious, the vast majority of them are aesthetically lacking. Located in Irvine, CA, Honey & Butter puts a distinctly modern twist on classic French macarons, creating pop culture-inspired culinary creations that are both a visual and literal feast. While they make traditional French macarons, they also make what they call “creature cookies,” which are edible versions of popular characters.
