DRAGON BALL SUPER: BROLY Trailer Sets Up a Huge Fight

Back in 1993, Broly entered the Dragon Ball saga in Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan before making only a handful of other appearances.

Broly became a fan favorite character despite being a non-canon creation. But later this year, Broly is coming back in a major way as a part of Dragon Ball Super‘s first movie. At San Diego Comic-Con, Toei Animation debuted the English language dub trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Broly, and it’s giving everyone all the Broly we can handle.

We expected to see Broly fight Goku and Vegeta, but the trailer goes even further by pitting him against Frieza as well. The fear in Frieza’s eyes should tell you everything you need to know about Broly’s ever-increasing power. And much to Vegeta’s alarm, Broly learns during his battles and becomes more dangerous by the second.

We can infer from the trailer that Broly will be initially used as a weapon against his enemies. But Broly is simply far too powerful to be controlled for long. Broly’s Legendary Super Saiyan form is also shown in the new footage, and it offers an enticing glimpse of his design by Akira Toriyama. the creator of the Dragon Ball franchise.

Dragon Ball Super: Broly will be released this December in Japan, with a North American release to follow in January 2019.
