Did DOCTOR STRANGE Secretly Use the Time Stone Against Thanos?

When Doctor Strange looked into the future he saw fourteen-million six hundred and five possible outcomes to the Avengers fight against the Mad Titan, and yet he only saw one instance where they emerged victorious. That’s why viewers are sure it must have been absolutely necessary for him to give Thanos the Time Stone at the end of Infinity War. Unless that is he didn’t give him the “real” one at all, as one theory suggests. If true it could explain how Earth’s mightiest heroes–with a little help from Ant-Man and the Wasp‘s Bill Foster–might still save the day in Avengers 4.

Two fan theories from Reddit offer possible explanations. The first says Doctor Strange did give Thanos “a” Time Stone that let him halve the universe’s population, but it was one from a different reality and Strange’s secret plan was to protect the real one so Tony Stark and the rest of the survivors can use it reverse Thanos’ snap. When combined with another new theory that says Bill Foster’s knowledge of the Quantum Realm could be the key to harnessing the power of the Time Stone, you have one plausible plan.

Is it possible this is really what happened? Did Dr. Stephen Strange lie to Thanos about not using any tricks? Did he outsmart the Mad Titan and keep his vow to protect the actual Time Stone, which will now be the Avengers best hope? We’ll have to wait until Avengers 4 to find out.

Unless Doctor Strange sent the real Time Stone to us.

What do you think of these theories? Do they hold up, or is someone just using the Reality Stone to warp the truth? Tell us in the comments below.
