We hear the Wilderness calling us back into its chaos. Yellowjackets season four will bring the series to an end as we finally get the details on what life was like for the girls after being rescued in 1998. It is hard to imagine how hard it was for them to find their place in normal society after deadly card draws and cannibalism. And, the present day will be just as chaotic with Melissa as a wild card and Shauna being, well, Shauna. The official trailer for Yellowjackets teases some serious drama and makes us really long for the ones we’ve lost in this show.
Seeing young Van and Tai kiss each other at a party sparks all the feelings. Van’s ending felt deeply unfair in so many ways. Why couldn’t they just run her cool vintage store and live in peace? In fact, there are many questions that continue to need answers in Yellowjackets season four and, based on the trailer, we will get some resolutions but probably not all of them. Like the Wilderness, there are some things that simply cannot be fully explained.
Personally, I want to know what will happen when Melissa’s wife finds out that the group killed her mom. Could she be the key that leads to the secrets becoming public knowledge? Maybe. Or, they could find a way to kill her and cover it up. There is always room for more sacrifice. Really, it needs to be Shauna who dies, but those are thoughts for another post.
Yellowjackets will start some social media buzz when it returns on November 5.
